This item depicted in the images below is a German WW2 SS ring with skull. The design of the ring reflects Himmler’s interest in Germanic mysticism. Karl Maria Wiligut has been credited with the design. The ring shows skull and crossed bones – the SS symbol – on its top.
The skull (or Totenkopf) was the traditional symbol of the SS, taken from other German and Prussian military units of the past. The meaning of the skull described in Himmler’s accompanying letter, literally:
“The skull is the monition to be prepared anytime to risk the life of our own I for the life of the entity.”
The ring has a size 12.5, weighs 7.7 grams.
It is bought from Invaluable auction – look at the images.
For sample I put a picture from auction with the copy of SS ring. Estimated price was $1200 – $1500 (20 years ago !!). Also on the images you can see the same ring found on the battle field.
