WW2 Spanish Medal for German officers in Legion Condor
SOLD$1German WW2 Spanish Medal for German officers in Legion Condor, 1936
You are bidding on a WWII Medal in excellent condition that was also awarded to German soldiers of the “Condor Legion” by the nationalist Spanish Government (Gen. Franco) during the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939. Initially, the Condor Legion consisted of 100 airplanes and 5,000 German soldiers.
By rotation of the contingents, a total of approximately 20,000 German soldiers served in Spain. In the past I have seen some photographs of German soldiers in uniform wearing this medal. The pictures pretty much show the condition and the writing on the medal. The front shows a lion with the date 17 Julio 1936. The back shows an eagle, shield and some arrows, probably significant to the nationalistic Spanish cause, as well as some Spanish writing around the border.
Established June 17, 1936, this medal was authorized for all members of the Legion Condor regardless of rank. General Franco personally designed the medal and instituted the award to commemorate the victory over the communist loyalists. The actual date of the institution is probably 1938.
The ribbon bears the black, red, and yellow colors of Spain. The medal depicts the lion victorious overt the griffon–the Falangist victory over the loyalist thugs. The other side has the Falangist arrow yoke and the eagle with the royal Spanish coat of arms. This is an important Spanish medal to the elite German Condor Legion. For sample I put a German medals bar and the photo of German officer with the same medal.
Estimate price: $220 – $230.

German WW2 Luftwaffe Legion Condor Cuff Title – KG 53
ConsignmentVery rare German WW2 Luftwaffe Legion Condor Cuff Title – KG 53, 1936 – 1939
This item depicted in the images below is a German WW2 Luftwaffe “Legion Condor” cuff title. “Legion Condor” was the honorary title given to Kampfgeschwader 53, a very highly active German bomber wing during World War II.
The material is a dark blue color with mouse grey stitching for the Gothic type. The reverse is held together by 13 fine black cross-stitches. It has been my understanding that both NCOs and officers used the same type of cuff title in this particular unit. Overall, this is a fine representation of a rather elite Luftwaffe unit, and would look great in any display. On the last image for sample I put a photo of German officer with the same cuff title.
Estimate price: $1200 – $1300. Recently the same cuff title sold oneBay for $1500 – see the image.

German WW2 Luftwaffe Legion Condor Cuff Title – KG 53, 1936 – 1939
This item depicted in the images below is a rare German WW2 Luftwaffe “Legion Condor” cuff title. “Legion Condor” was the honorary title given to Kampfgeschwader 53, a very highly active German bomber wing during World War II.
The fabric is a dark blue color with mouse grey stitching for the Gothic type. It has been my understanding that both NCOs and officers used the same type of cuff title in this particular unit. Overall, this is a fine representation of a rather elite Luftwaffe unit and would look great in any display. On the last image for sample I put a photo of German officer with the same cuff title.
Recently on eBay the same cuff title was sold for $1500 – please see the image bellow.
Estimate price: $1200 – $1300.
