This item depicted in the images below is a German WW2 Badge. This is a nice kepi or shako police German badge rarely seen. I have been told its ww1 and I have seen it in ww2 photos. So I am listing it as ww2. If you need one you will no what your looking for, I picked this at a yard sale a few months ago and was told by the women: her husband brought it home from Europe. Measures 4×5 inches, aluminum construction, the center piece is darker than the outer star burst and its 2 piece construction.

This item is in pretty good shape, there is no mooting on it anywhere, the color is crisp and the writing clear, all the stitching is correct. Beautiful item !!
The eagle is very large. Last 10 years I did not see at any auctions or market the item like this one. The size is 6.3′ x 4.3′ (170 x 110 mm).

Up for auction is German WWII Army Para Badge (Fallschirmschuetzenabzeichen des Heeres) in its embroidered version. The badge, which most collectors consider the among the most desirable of German WWII badges, was introduced in September 1937 by the commander in chief of the German Army, Von Fritsch and-re-issued in 1943.
The badge was offered to all members of the Army Parachutist group who accomplished five jumps and passed a qualification test. German paratrooper units were – next to certain SS units – considered the most feared elite units in the German army.
Most notably the units fought successfully in Holland, Kreta and also in Italy in the fight around Monte Cassino. As can be seen below the badge shows some aging signs, but is in overall good condition. For sample I put Certificate of award.
