Russian Imperial rooster belonged to daughter of Russian Emperor, Faberge
Extremely rare item made by Faberge workshop. This item was made as a present by Russian Emperor Nicolas II in 1909 to his daughter Olga as a Christmas present. I have other item like this what Nicolas II made a present to his other daughter at the same time. This item is Warranteed at least 100 years old. Rooster is cold painted. The body and the wings are either silver. Not steel or aluminums or bronze or brass. The feathers in the back are tin, but only the feathers. Very intricate detail. Wings are thick and part of the actual cast. This item is very nice and very old as you can tell by the crackle in the paint.
It measures approx. 9 ” long, approx. 6 ” high, approx. 5 ” wide. I have this one and another similar one also up for auction, I have had them for years myself. Note the fancy curled tail feathers behind the rooster. No damage no repairs. Quite heavy for their size. Local pickup is always welcome. Best Offers Always Considered.
