German WW2 Army Para Badge (Fallschirmschuetzenabzeichen des Heeres) in EMBROIDERED version
Up for auction is German WWII Army Para Badge (Fallschirmschuetzenabzeichen des Heeres) in its embroidered version. The badge, which most collectors consider the among the most desirable of German WWII badges, was introduced in September 1937 by the commander in chief of the German Army, Von Fritsch and-re-issued in 1943.
The badge was offered to all members of the Army Parachutist group who accomplished five jumps and passed a qualification test. German paratrooper units were – next to certain SS units – considered the most feared elite units in the German army.
Most notably the units fought successfully in Holland, Kreta and also in Italy in the fight around Monte Cassino. As can be seen below the badge shows some aging signs, but is in overall good condition. For sample I put Certificate of award.
This badge is on the uniforms background.
Extremely rare to find this badge together with uniforms background!!
As you can see on the picture bellow the item is not glow under a black light. For sample I put modern fabric which glow under a black light.
